How your dreams reveal a hidden, inner you!

I have always found the meaning of dreams interesting, in fact from a very young age I have looked up dream meanings for myself and friends and tried to analyse them. You may have done the same, looked up the meaning of objects and situations in a dream book or googled to find out what a dream means. There are many dream books available and many articles and websites online dedicated to revealing what this phenomenon means to our waking lives.

The fascination for me has never gone away and a couple of years ago I stumbled across the book of famous dream expert, Ian Wallace. Ian is a qualified psychologist specialising in dreams and the dreaming process. What I liked about Ian's approach to analysing dreams was that it is a much more detailed way to look at a dream and to break down every aspect of it in detail. The book looks at the 'Dream connection process' and helps to ask questions about the dream to gain the incite you are looking for. Since I have been using Ian's book and linking what is happening in my waking life to the symbols, situations, people, places and feelings in my dreams, I have been able to gain a new incite into how I can help myself to reach my potential. The surprising part of the process, is how accurately my dreams seem to link to my waking life. After speaking to a few close friends about it, they have asked me to analyse their dreams and they too have been astounded at just how accurately the analysis has linked to their waking life.

I encourage my clients to take notice of their dreams as they can often reveal subconscious details about their life which may help within the coaching process. I have now designed a dream analysis worksheet for clients to document their dreams, which will help me to analyse the dream as accurately as possible in order to see if their are any subconscious areas affecting them at present or that they are fearful of in the future.

I believe that our dreams hold secrets of how we can reach our potential.
